Unlimited plans priced by the day

The day-based unlimited tier runs on DTAC TriNet's 3G/4G network and is priced by the number of days rather than by gigabytes, from a single day up to thirty. This removes the need to estimate data use in advance: someone unsure how much they will stream, navigate or video-call can pick the day count that matches their itinerary and not think about a cap again. It suits trips where usage is front-loaded, such as the first few days after landing, as well as full-month stays where predictable daily pricing matters more than tracking a gigabyte total.

Matching the plan to the trip

Trip length is the first filter: a weekend or short city stop fits the 1GB/7d or 3GB/15d fixed data options, or a 1 to 3 day unlimited plan if data use will be heavy from the start. A two-to-four week trip generally sits in the 10GB to 20GB fixed data range, or the 7 to 15 day unlimited tier if usage is unpredictable. For a full month, the 50GB fixed data plan and the 30-day unlimited plan sit at opposite ends of the same length: one caps total data at a high ceiling, the other removes the cap and prices by time instead.

What the data gets used for

Ride-hailing apps such as Grab are one of the more common uses for a working connection soon after arrival, since booking and tracking a ride needs a live data link rather than station or hotel wifi. In Bangkok, topping up a transit card for the BTS Skytrain can also be done through a mobile app once the card is registered, which likewise depends on the phone's own connection rather than one at the station.
